Euryattus sp. Northern Jumping Spider

A large, robust jumping spider common around Cairns, North Queensland. The spider is fissident meaning it has a large double pointed tooth on the inside of the jaw. Dramatically coloured with lengthways stripes of cream on the sides of a dark brown abdomen. The cephalothorax is similarly fringed with cream and there is a cream slash lengthways on the centre of the head. Cream coloured setae (hairs) around the anterior eyes and reddish orange around the posterior eyes. The pedipalps have very fuffy socks of cream coloured hairs. ♀ 7mm ♂ 7mm.
