This rather rare species has not been mentioned in the literature since Hogg's paper in 1903 On the Australasian spiders of the subfamily Sparassinae . It is another example of the diversity of fauna of Central Queensland, a favourite collecting area for Dietrich and Daemel in the mid 1800s.
