This species has a small male, 3.5 - 4mm body length, the female being Lycidas scutuatus often seen around built-up areas on walls and fences during the warmer part of the day. Very mobile, quick to jump. It does not have a high white garland around the head but has fluffy white pedipalps, ♀ 7mm ♂ 5mm

This illustration was the original Habrocestum albovittatum described by Keyserlling then changed to Hypoblemum albovittatum but It is not the Hypoblemum albovittatum we know today as redescribed in 2002 by Zabka and Pollard.
