A medium to large, powerful, robust, dark brown to black jumping spider with prominent white markings, found in north Queensland. The species name refers to the distinctive white patterns on the abdomen resembling cast-iron designs in European gates and fencework. In life the body appears more brown than it does in flash phoptography. ♀ 11mm ♂ 11mm
