This species is found in leaf litter of rainforest in South East Queensland.The specific name is in honour of Anne Jones, Chair of Queensland Museum Board. As a Goblin Spider it belongs to a diverse group of Australian ground spiders, recognised by their six eyes and their dark red-brown scutae, or clamshell styled abdomen. The genus Opopaea has a club-shaped palpal patella and a cymbium fused to the bulb unique for this genus. ♀ 1.15mm ♂ 1.12mm
