The described species of the genus Cyrtobill erected in 2009 by Framenau and Scharff, C. darwini is a small spider mainly in arid habitats such as spinifex grassland in the northern half of Australia. These specimens from moist forest in South East Queenland resemble Cyrtobill in external appearancve and may well be more example of this genus.
