Eutittha mordax L. Koch, 1866 Common Garden Sac Spider

A common spider Australia wide. Abundant in gardens and nearby bushland in eastern Australia, possibly spready by humans. Pale fawn, sometimes with a reddish brown line extending halfway down the abdomen, sometimes with a uniformly pale abdomen. No fovea or pit running lengthways in the centre of the carapace. Nocturnal, spends the days in a silken retreat usually made with a live leaf. Egg sac of white silk about 9mm x 6mm. Eggs around .75mm in diameter, glutinous, globular. ♀ 10mm ♂ 8mm
