Argiope katherina Levi 1983

Argiope katherina, known from NT. is similar to Argiope minuta from Japan. Levi describes the female as having a very distinct abdominal pattern. This species has been found in webs at the mouth of sandstone caves on the wall of the Katherine Gorge in sparse, Pandanus-dominant vegetation. ♀ 20mm ♂ 6mm
