Carepalxis bilobata Keyserling, 1886 Two-peaked Carepalxis

This spider is found from at least the Victorian border well into Queensland, a wider distribution than recorded by Keyserling who described It in 1886. It is found in woodland and most types of forest, but is not common. Bilobata means two-lobed or two-peaked. This species builds a large web with the radials very close together, takes It down at dawn and hides during the day. ♀ 9mm ♂ 4mm
